Our story
DronePortal.app was born from Droneview.be — a professional drone inspection company that needed a better way to deliver results to clients.
The origin statement
After 15 years of flying and building a professional drone inspection business, the frustration was always the same: delivering results to clients was stuck in the past. PDF reports emailed as attachments. No interactivity. No live thermal data. No professional client experience.
So we built our own solution. A fully interactive client portal where municipalities, energy companies, and construction firms could log in, view their thermal inspections, explore 3D maps, and download structured reports — all in one place.
Then we realised: every professional drone operator has this exact same problem. And none of the existing software was built by someone who actually flies.
DronePortal.app is that solution — available to every drone operator worldwide.
How we got here
Droneview.be performs its first commercial thermal inspection — a rooftop heat loss scan for a commercial building in Belgium. The results are delivered on a USB stick. The client is happy with the data; frustrated with the format.
We land our first large-scale municipal thermal scan — hundreds of residential properties in a single project. Managing addresses, GPS photo sorting and report delivery manually is painful. We start building internal tools.
The first version of our client portal goes live for a real client project. Basic photo viewer, access codes, PDF reports. Clients love it. We realize other operators need this too.
We add the interactive thermal viewer with temperature measurement, WebODM 3D integration, and the neighbourhood project management module. The portal is now handling real contracts with municipal clients across Belgium.
We open the platform to all professional drone operators worldwide. Same tool. Same code. Same portal that's been running live client projects in Belgium for three years — now available as a SaaS.

Belgium taught us that language matters. NL, FR and EN are first-class citizens — not afterthoughts. Every client gets the portal in their language.
We deliberately keep the interface clean and focused. A drone operator shouldn't need a manual to deliver a project. Neither should their client.

Founded by an EASA-certified pilot with 15 years of flight experience and 30 years of technical field background, we specialize in thermal imaging, visual inspection, and aerial data collection for municipalities, construction firms, energy companies and property managers.
Our work includes large-scale municipal thermal scans of residential neighbourhoods, roof and facade inspections, solar panel efficiency checks, and construction progress monitoring — all delivered via the portal we built ourselves.
Do you train drone pilots, write about the industry, or advise operators? Refer someone and you earn a commission on their first annual subscription. What you get is agreed individually — it depends on your reach and how you work. Referrals are tracked for 90 days, and you can pass part of your commission on to your client as a discount.
