Not every job calls for the same flight, sensor or processing. This short overview helps you pick the right service before you filter below.
Thermography
A thermal camera measures infrared radiation and reveals temperature differences the eye cannot see: moisture under a roof membrane, a break in the insulation, a failing solar cell or an overheating connection. Radiometric imagery carries a temperature value per pixel, which lets the operator measure afterwards instead of estimating. If you need measured values, ask for radiometric capture explicitly.

Aerial photography
Aerial photography gives you an overview from a vantage point that does not exist on the ground: a full site, a building in its surroundings, or the state of a project in a single frame. For real estate, communication and record-keeping, a set of well-chosen photos is often enough. Check the delivered resolution and whether you receive the original files.

Aerial video
Moving images show what a photo cannot: scale, context and coherence. Think of a company film, a handover video of a construction site, or a flight along a route. Ask up front about resolution and whether you get both an edited version and the raw footage — it saves work later.

Inspection
On an inspection flight the goal is not the prettiest image but the evidence: a roof, façade, chimney, mast or structure captured closely and systematically. A drone reaches places that would otherwise need a lift, scaffolding or rope access, without anyone having to work at height. The result is a dated series of images you can hold against the next inspection.

Mapping & 3D
For mapping, the drone flies a grid with heavily overlapping photos. Software turns those into an orthophoto (an aerial image without distortion, on which you can measure), a point cloud or a 3D model. That gives you areas, volumes and height differences derived from imagery. Ask in advance which output format you get and whether it opens in your own software.

FPV
FPV flights are flown live from the camera's point of view, allowing fluid movement through and around buildings that a conventional drone cannot achieve. Mostly used for imagery with impact: one continuous flight through a production hall, over a sports ground or along a building under construction.

Live streaming
With a live stream the drone image goes straight to a screen or an online channel. Useful at events, during an inspection an expert follows remotely, or in an incident where a quick overview is needed. Ask which connection is used and what the fallback is if the network drops.
