DronePortal.app
Built for professional drone operators
Professional delivery · Local workflow
Many professional operators process their data locally — WebODM on their own desktop, RealityScan, DJI Terra or Agisoft. DronePortal deliberately doesn't host or render 3D models itself: specialised viewers stream heavy models better, and linked viewers use none of your plan's storage. It always comes down to one thing: your model needs a shareable web link. With these four routes, your locally processed model is part of your client delivery in minutes.

RealityScan publishes straight to Sketchfab (one click — both are Epic products). From WebODM, DJI Terra or Agisoft, export your model (OBJ or GLB) and upload it to a free Sketchfab account. Click "Embed", copy the link ending in /embed, and paste it as a viewer on your unit. Done: your client rotates the model in the browser, right next to the photos and report.
Working with very heavy meshes? Nira specialises in streaming them. A Nira share link works as a viewer in DronePortal: Nira renders the model, DronePortal delivers the complete inspection. The services don't replace each other — they complement each other.
Want to stay in your familiar environment but still get a shareable link? WebODM Lightning gives you a hosted link with measurement tools (distance, area, volume) — often the strongest viewer for inspection work. In the Pix4D world, Pix4Dcloud (not desktop Pix4Dmatic) produces an embeddable link that works seamlessly with DronePortal.
One3D processes your imagery in the cloud into a digital twin. In the viewer, choose "Get share link" and paste that link straight in as a viewer on your unit — no conversion needed, the share link works in the frame as-is. Two reasons to consider it: the level of detail goes beyond what a free Sketchfab account handles, and you set per share link who is allowed to view the model. One thing to watch: the share link carries an access code, so use the link from "Get share link" rather than the URL in your own address bar — otherwise it works for you and not for your client.
Sketchfab
Free account · OBJ or GLB · link ends in /embed
Nira
For very heavy meshes · share link works as a viewer straight away
WebODM Lightning · Pix4Dcloud
Hosted link with measurement tools — often the strongest choice for inspection work
One3D
Finer detail than free Sketchfab · permissions per share link · link works as a viewer straight away
A deliberate choice. Viewers like Sketchfab, Nira and WebODM invest everything in streaming and rendering 3D — they do that better than we could re-serve it. DronePortal is the delivery layer around it: photos, radiometric thermal images, video, reports and your model, together behind one link and one access code in your branding. And because models are linked, they use zero storage.

No. You link your model as a viewer link. DronePortal deliberately doesn't host or render 3D models itself: specialised viewers stream heavy models better.

No. Models are linked, not uploaded, so they use zero storage from your plan.
For a shareable link you need Pix4Dcloud, not desktop Pix4Dmatic. Pix4Dcloud produces an embeddable link that works seamlessly with DronePortal.
