Getting started
A professional client portal that allows drone pilots to share inspection results (thermal images, 3D models, photos) securely with their clients — each via a private portal with a unique access code.
Yes — that's exactly what it's designed for. Your clients, projects and units together form your working file: for each project you'll find the quote, photos, viewers, reports and attachments on a single page, for as long as your subscription runs (storage according to your plan). Via 'View' you can open the client view of any project at any time.
No. You sign up, create a project and unit, upload your images, and send your client a unique access code. No installation or website building required.
Click "Start Free Trial", fill in the form, confirm your email address via the link in the confirmation email, and your 14-day trial starts immediately.
DronePortal is fully web-based — there is nothing to install. You manage everything from the browser, on Mac, Windows or tablet. Your clients don't install or create anything either: one link and an access code, on any device.
With Drive or WeTransfer your client gets a folder of files: DJI_20260608_0431_T.jpg × 200, good luck. With DronePortal that same client gets a page in your branding: thermal images with temperature readout, photos by location, the 3D model right next to them, report included — behind one link and one access code. The delivery is the only part of your work your client ever sees; the difference between "here's a folder" and "here's your inspection" shapes what you can charge.
Trial & subscription
14 days.
No, no credit card required.
Your account is temporarily set to read-only until you choose a subscription plan. Your data is fully preserved.
Starter, Professional and Agency, with increasing storage, features, and number of units. See our pricing page for a full overview.
No. Your raw data (source images, processing files) stays where it is now — in your processing tools and your own archive. In DronePortal you only place what your client receives: selected photos, thermal images and reports. 3D models are embedded directly from your viewer (WebODM, Pix4Dcloud, Sketchfab, ...) and don't count towards your storage. A typical project delivery is therefore a few GB — not hundreds.
Clients & access
No. Clients access their portal via a unique access code — no registration or password required.
You send the code by email or letter. The client opens their personal portal via your subdomain.
Yes. Each account gets its own subdomain.
Thermal data & features
On Professional and Agency plans, clients see exact temperature values per point (radiometric data). On Starter, colour-based estimations are displayed without absolute degree readings.
Among others: residential thermal inspection, large-scale neighbourhood scans for municipalities, and construction site monitoring with 3D mapping and volume measurements.
No. Thermal data is always protected behind the secure client login via access code. Only visual images can optionally be included in a public portfolio.
No. DronePortal complements your existing software and forms the professional link between your workflow and your client. Keep working the way you're used to — with your own flight, processing and viewer software. DronePortal makes sure your client receives the result in a professional, well-organised way.
Any software that provides a shareable web link or embed link. Tested: WebODM Lightning, Pix4Dcloud, Kuula 360°, Sketchfab and Matterport. In practice: for Pix4Dcloud, use the link from the EMBED tab of your dataset; for Sketchfab, the embed link (ending in /embed) via the Embed button, not the regular page URL; for Matterport, the show URL of your space; for DroneDeploy, the public view-only share link. Using DJI Terra? Share your model via DJI Modify cloud-share and use that link.
For delivering photos, video and 3D models, the brand doesn't matter — DronePortal works with imagery from any drone. For the radiometric thermal viewer (per-pixel temperature), the platform uses DJI's R-JPEG format, as written by the M30T, M3T, M4T and the H20/H30 cameras. Unsure about your aircraft? Send us one test photo and we'll confirm.
Reporting tools create the report; DronePortal delivers the complete inspection to your client. You keep using your familiar analysis and processing software — the portal bundles the result (photos, thermal images with temperature data, 3D models, reports) into one secure, branded client page. They complement each other.
DronePortal doesn't replace your viewers — it connects them. Tested and supported: WebODM (incl. Lightning), Pix4Dcloud, Sketchfab, Kuula (360°), Matterport and One3D. For video there's a YouTube field per project. Your models stay where they run best; your client sees everything in one delivery — and connected viewers use no storage. Processing locally with WebODM, RealityScan, DJI Terra or Agisoft? Read how to link your locally processed model anyway.
Privacy & security
On EU servers (Hetzner, Germany), fully GDPR compliant.
Yes. Each operator has a fully isolated environment on their own subdomain. Client data from different operators is never mixed.
